Trainer socks fail in two ways. They slip down under the heel until you're walking on the bare cuff, or the toe seam starts to rub once your feet warm up. Both problems are solved in the knit rather than with a gimmick.
These are knitted fully seamless, so there is no ridge across the toes to catch inside a trainer. The cuff is super-stretchy and cut to sit just below the ankle bone, holding without digging in.
The summer sock argument
Bamboo is more breathable than cotton and draws damp away rather than soaking it up. Inside a trainer on a warm day that is the whole difference: cotton gets damp and stays damp, bamboo moves it on. Bamboo also resists smells naturally, so these stay fresh across a full day in a way a cotton trainer sock simply doesn't.
