Description Description
200-needle ribbed bamboo dress socks
Needle count is the number that separates a good dress sock from an ordinary one, and almost nobody prints it. It's how many needles the knitting machine uses around the circumference: more needles, finer stitches, denser fabric, smoother finish. Most high-street socks sit somewhere around 100 to 144. These are 200.
What you feel is a closer, silkier surface and a rib that holds its definition rather than flattening out. What you get over time is a sock that resists thinning at the ball of the foot, because the same amount of yarn is distributed across more, smaller stitches.
Still seamless
The finer knit doesn't change the fundamentals. There's no toe seam, and the cuff is non-binding. Bamboo brings the quick-drying, smell-resisting qualities a leather shoe demands, with a drape that suits a suit.
Black and navy for the office, or the Red/Yellow/Green and five-colour sets if you'd rather the formality stopped at the ankle. This is the most expensive sock we make and the one to handle if you're deciding whether bamboo can be genuinely formal. It can.

Questions
Is 200-needle noticeably different? Side by side against a standard sock, yes, in smoothness and in how the rib holds. On its own you'd register it as "these feel expensive".
Are they too warm for summer? Denser knit, but bamboo regulates both ways. They're comfortable year-round in a leather shoe.
How should I wash them? 30°C, inside out, no tumble dryer, no fabric conditioner. Treated that way the rib holds for years.

Sizing Sizing
Where they sit. Mid-calf, so no bare leg shows when you sit down in a suit.
One range, plenty of give. Knitted with enough stretch to sit comfortably right across UK 7–12.
How they compare. This is the finer, denser, more textured pair. The plain dress sock is the smoother everyday choice.

200 needles, not 144
Needle count is how many needles the machine uses around the circumference. More needles means finer stitches and denser fabric. Most high-street socks sit somewhere around 100 to 144.
Fully seamless
The finer knit doesn't change the fundamentals. There is still no ridge of stitching across the toes.
Embroidered bamboo motif
Our signature motif, stitched on both sides of the sock rather than printed on.
Denser, still year-round
A denser knit than a standard dress sock, but bamboo regulates both ways, so they stay comfortable in a leather shoe all year.
